AFC Leopards fans can now ease the pressure after their head coach, Patrick Aussems ‘Uchebe‘, assured them he would be back to lead Ingwe to the Kenya Premier League title this season.

Aussems, a Belgian national, sparked outrage last week after posting on his social networking site Twitter that he was returning home for a few days to find out about his family’s condition.

The Kenyan Premier League is currently suspended indefinitely due to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s order to suspend all sports activities in the country as part of a three-pronged approach to the spread of the corona virus.

“As a result of the ban, I return home for a few days to greet the family. I will be back when the league starts again. I hope it will grow soon” wrote Uchebe on his Twitter page.

It was a text that prompted Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja, urging the Belgian not to leave the AFC Leopards.

Sakaja, who is one of Ingwe’s staunch fans, urged Aussems to make sure he keeps his promise to return when sports activities and especially the league returns.

Aussems eased the pressure of Sakaja and Ingwe fans when he wrote on his Twitter account his desire to return to Nairobi and end the big task if he is to bring the trophy into the AFC Leopards empire.
